In recent days I've been saddened by all the news about Britney shaving her head, and all the chaos surrounding the life and death of Anna Nicole. As well as other issues with entertainers. What's weird is, I haven't felt judgmental as I probably normally would, I've just felt sad for them, and have felt the need to pray over their situations.
Today, I happened upon a devotion written by Melissa Moore, the daughter of Beth Moore...Oh my...it's a must read. Click here and soak up what Melissa has to say...(she's just like her Mama)

Hey Girlfriend. WOW!!! That is not just food for thought, but a spiritual banquet, as well. What's interesting is I've seen in my own life that the closer I get to God, the easier it is not to idolize people. For instance, I used to LOVE Sting. (I still like his music.) Five or six years ago when he was on tour, I spent several hours on the phone trying to win backstage passes, and when that fell through, I spent a STUPID amount of money to drive to St. Louis to sit in crappy seats to see the concert. Now days, I can't even tell you what his latest album is (though I have heard he's a born-again Christian--know anything about that?). But I did make a point to catch his reunion with the Police on the Grammy's. :-)
