This was my devotion this morning. Just thought I'd share...
John 4:7-12
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us."
(Answer the following questions based on the above scripture)
1. What does loving each other prove about us?
2. What does not loving others prove about us?
3. How did God prove His love?
4. Where does our love for others come from?
5. What was God's proof of His love for us?
6. Bottom line: Why should we love others?
7. If no one can see God, how can the world know about His love?
Romans 5:5 (NIV)
5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
